REMINISCENCE CALENDAR

HOW TO USE

·        Keep the calendar set up for the current day. If someone has an individual copy, they can make daily notes on the page as a reminder of things to do.

·        Use the calendar as a way to jog their memory by recalling the event of the day or one of the personalities that share that birthdate.

·        Try some of the questions for memory and recall.

Keep the calendar standing up on a table so family or friends can see it when they are visiting. Use the information or the questions as conversation starters and share some special memories together. One of my friend’s parents used a calendar like this each year to journal her recollections of the events and people as well as her own personal reflections for that day. She has been saving them for many years and has found a unique way to collect and share some of her life story.
