IS IT MULTITASKING OR TASK SWITCHING?
How does it impact your memory?

With the many wonders of the 21st century came not only more pressure to multitask but information overload. We think we are multitasking when we are really switching back and forth between tasks. Research supports that this type of pattern not only increases stress and errors but results in taking more time to get something accomplished. Learning your patterns and developing strategies to handle the negative aspects of interruptions can help to improve your focus, recall and bring some balance back to your busy life.
Desire to have things done quickly prevents their being done thoroughly. Confucius

LISTENING AND THE ART OF PAYING ATTENTION

Paying attention is one of the most important steps in improving your ability to recall information. With the many wonders of the 21st century came not only more pressure to multitask but information overload. Now it is no longer the older generations complaining about their memory frustrations. Understanding the patterns that interfere with your ability to focus and devising appropriate strategies can improve not only your recall but also bring some balance back to your busy life. If I have ever made any valuable discoveries, it has been owing more to patient attention than any other talent. Isaac Newton
